We meet you where you are

Meeting the needs of our hero families is our number one goal. Find support through:

Connection

Kids can’t fight childhood cancer alone – and neither can their families. Connect with other families who have walked this path.

Caregiver Support Group

Connect quarterly with other families in various stages of their journey for an opportunity to be transparent, share the load, and encourage one another.

Hero Hangouts

These outings are a space for heroes and their families to have fun! Enjoy a break from your day-to-day and make memories with others who are going through, or have gone through, childhood cancer. The hangouts happen at amusement parks, movie theaters, Texas Ranger games, and more!

Practical Help

As families who have been through treatment, we know it takes a toll in many different ways. From dinner deliveries to errands, we’ll be by your side.

Clinic Call-In

We know the fight against childhood cancer can alter your family’s routine and last for years. When we can’t do anything to take your pain away, the least we can do is deliver dinner and remind you that we still see you.

Hospital Survival Kits

From extension cords to touches of “home,” we’ll give you ways to make the hospital more comfortable and personal.

Children’s Hospital Toy Closet

The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s Hospital Dallas collects toys for children receiving treatment. GNET holds a drive to fill their closets and bring joy to kids experiencing pediatric cancer.

Eric Kimmey & Olivia Nolley Memorial Scholarship

Conquering cancer, achieving the incredible milestone of graduating high school, AND going to college deserves high honors. Gold Network offers financial support to all of our college-bound seniors each year. We are so proud of of our graduates!

Christmas Gift Cards

The holiday season can be challenging for hero families. We provide gift cards for them to use as they wish during the Christmas season.

Awareness

We believe awareness is the first step toward communities better serving and supporting each other.

East Texas Gold Run

Whether you’re a serious runner or just looking for a family-friendly fun run, East Texas Gold Run raises awareness for childhood cancer while attendees enjoy activities. Held in Bergfeld Park each September, the Gold Run is our largest fundraising event and a great opportunity to share the mission of GNET.

Go Gold East Texas

Each September, East Texas families come together in Tyler’s Downtown Square to go gold for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This evening is dedicated to encouraging and honoring our heroes and their families with:

  • A gold carpet for kids to walk with their families
  • A gold balloon release to honor our heroes who are no longer with us

Research

All types of childhood cancer together receive less than 4% of the national research budget. We believe our kids are worth far more than 4%.

Cooperative between Children’s Health Dallas & Hospitality ER

Pediatric cancer patients have a unique set of needs that can often only be met in Dallas or Houston. That’s why we fund a partnership that equips the East Texas medical community to better serve pediatric cancer patients and their families locally.

$10,000 Annual Donation Goal

GNET believes in supporting the research of pediatric cancer-committed doctors at Children’s Health Dallas and UT Southwestern. Our kids deserve effective, nontoxic treatments, and we believe it’s crucial to support doctors and hospitals seeking the same goal.

Share the load

The burden of pediatric cancer is far too great to carry alone. If you or a loved one are walking this path, connect with us today.

Join heroes and their families in the fight against cancer today. Gold Network operates on a 100% volunteer basis, and every donation goes directly to helping families through awareness, connection, practical help, and research.

Volunteer

Help hero families shoulder the burden by volunteering.

Donating your time:

  • Meets a crucial need by enabling us to put on all of our events. We operate on a 100% volunteer basis!
  • Is a tangible way to show up for our East Texas heroes.
